How would you describe life at Apollo?

Life at Apollo is fulfilling with challenging and interesting work, and a great work/life balance. Everybody in the company is very friendly and happy to help with whatever I need.

The diverse range of colleagues has enhanced my learning experiences, which has contributed to my personal and professional growth.

Tell us about your favourite project at Apollo

My favourite project at Apollo was designing the Floating Fuel Depot for the CMDC2 competition. The project involved supporting vessels for the ScotWind Floating Offshore Wind development by storing and offloading clean fuels.

It was challenging, but working on an environmentally conscious project was very gratifying. Being able to use my engineering skills to make a positive change in the world is why I became an engineer in the first place.

This project allowed me to expand my knowledge in engineering and alternative fuels and helped me identify the areas of engineering that I want to pursue.

What activities have you been involved with outside of engineering at Apollo?

Outside of engineering at Apollo, I actively engage in the social committee, serving as the community engagement officer.

This role has led me to be involved with external charity events like “Apollo on the Shore” with Techfest, beach cleans and in-house initiatives such as the Rugby World Cup Sweepstake.

I also participate in Apollo’s lively social calendar, featuring team-building events, monthly socials, the Christmas night out, and the annual golf day, contributing to a vibrant workplace culture.
