Recently, we asked our employees to decide which charities we should support, and we are thrilled to announce that our chosen charity is Befriend a Child.
Why Befriend A Child?
Befriend a Child is a registered charity that supports children and young people living in difficult life circumstances across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire through various programmes and projects.
Founded in 1975 by two women on the children’s panel who saw a need for offering a child one to one support through a positive adult role model.
Befriend a Child is an organisation that aligns with our values. Their mission to support and empower children sits alongside with Apollo’s mission to create a brighter and more inclusive future. By encouraging meaningful connections, Befriend A Child makes a difference in the lives of young individuals, and we’re eager to support them in this cause.
Taking the First Steps
To kick off our partnership, Craig Shepherd and Rachel Gosling from Apollo had the privilege of meeting with Sarah Misra and Katie Kyle of Befriend a Child. This initial meeting was an invaluable opportunity to gain insights into the organisation’s impactful work and to discuss how Apollo can best contribute.
