Apollo Becomes a Young Person’s Guarantee Pledge Partner

At Apollo, we believe in the power of opportunity and the transformative impact it can have on young lives. That’s why we are thrilled to announce our commitment as a Young Person’s Guarantee Pledge Partner in Scotland.

What is the Young Person’s Guarantee?

The Young Person’s Guarantee works alongside Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) to provide a programme that connects every 16 to 24-year-old in Scotland to a range of opportunities, including employment, education, training, or volunteering.

It serves as an opportunity for young people, emphasising the integral role that employers can play in creating pathways for their growth.

By pledging support through various means such as job offerings, apprenticeships, mentoring, and work placements, the initiative aims to empower young individuals, providing them with the tools and resources needed to navigate the professional landscape successfully.

Our Role as Employers and Partners

At Apollo, we recognise the pivotal role that employers and partners play in shaping the future workforce. We are proud to pledge our support in various ways:

    • Offering Work Experience Opportunities: We currently offer summer placements, ensuring individuals gain practical exposure and invaluable learning experiences to pave the way for their professional growth.
    • Offering Foundation and Modern Apprenticeships: Starting in January 2024, we’re committed to providing Foundation Apprenticeship opportunities and the Modern Apprenticeship with which we have previously been involved.
    • Delivery of Class Talks: We visit local schools, providing young people with a glimpse into what a rewarding career in the engineering sector entails.
    • Attending Careers Events: Actively participating in careers events to connect with young individuals, sharing valuable insights and opportunities within the energy transition sectors.
