Apollo will be attending Marine Energy Wales on the 28th and 29th April 2026, using the opportunity to share our experience of delivering complex marine and offshore energy projects.
Nigel Robinson, David Stewart and Michelle Hitches (FMAAT, MAPM, GMC) will be at the conference, with Michelle also chairing a panel discussion on workforce challenges in the marine energy sector.

Marine systems engineering capability
Apollo provides multi‑disciplinary engineering support for marine systems operating in challenging offshore environments.
Our work spans the full project lifecycle, with a strong focus on buildability, operability and delivery risk.
Our core capability includes:
- Structural design of offshore and nearshore assets, including primary steel, secondary structures and interfaces with foundations or seabed systems
- Mooring system design and analysis, covering station keeping, fatigue, extreme load cases and integration with floating and subsea systems
- Cable engineering, including dynamic and static power and export cables, routing, protection and interface management
- Transport and installation (T&I) – we support complex marine operations through tow-to-port and off-station management, helping projects plan and manage vessel movements, interfaces, and offshore logistics in challenging conditions. At a larger scale, we have contributed to gigawatt-scale installation studies, where installation strategy, vessel selection, and sequencing are critical to programme certainty and cost control.
- Operations and maintenance (O&M) support, focused on safe access, inspection, repair strategies and long‑term asset performance
Alongside project delivery, we continue to develop practical engineering solutions that support offshore wind deployment. Our PALM quick connection system is designed to simplify offshore electrical connections, reduce offshore time, and improve safety during installation and maintenance activities.
