Apollo at Floating Offshore Wind 2025

We’re looking forward to attending Renewable UK and Scottish Renewable’s Floating Offshore Wind 2025. Visit us at Stand K30 to meet our team and hear how Apollo’s engineers are helping drive progress across the sector.

Our work focuses on practical solutions that make offshore projects simpler, safer and more efficient. From concept design to installation support, we bring experience across moorings, cables and marine systems, all backed by a commitment to quality and delivery.

PALM QCS and PALM charger

At Apollo, innovation means solving real problems in real environments.

Our PALM Quick Connection System (QCS) and PALM Charger are two technologies doing just that.

The PALM Quick Connection System (QCS) is a plug-and-socket solution that allows floating offshore renewable devices to connect and disconnect quickly and safely from their dynamic electrical cables. It removes the need for divers, duplicated pull-in systems, or personnel transfer, reducing vessel time, cost, and risk. Proven through offshore trials and ready for commercial deployment, the PALM QCS supports efficient maintenance and tow-to-port operations, helping developers lower costs and improve reliability.

Building on the same technology, the PALM Charger provides safe offshore charging for electric vessels. Mounted on a platform or turbine, it allows vessels to connect at sea, extending range and reducing emissions. Successful trials in Orkney, in partnership with Leask Marine and the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC), achieved more than 30 successful connect, power, and disconnect operations in varied sea conditions with 100% reliability.

Sharing our expertise

Come and hear from the Apollo team as we share practical insight into the technology and talent driving floating wind forward.

Wednesday 12 November

1130–1140 – Nigel Robinson, Marine Energies Director: From demonstration to pilot: scaling up innovative quick connection systems towards commercial readiness.

1400–1420 – Michelle Hitches, Study Manager – Decarbonisation: Workforce development for floating offshore wind in the Celtic Sea.

Play, learn, win

Our Super Moor-io Brothers game is back and better than ever.

Built in Orcaflex, it challenges you to design the lowest-cost mooring for a floating wind turbine. It’s a fun, interactive way to explore the technical thinking behind practical engineering, with prizes for the most cost effective designs.

Come and say hello

Visit Stand K30 to meet our team and find out more about how Apollo can support your marine energies projects.

Whether you want to learn about our PALM technologies, explore collaboration opportunities or simply test your design skills on Super Moor-io Brothers, we’d love to talk.
