This year, Apollo and Global Energy Group (GEG) turned a significant page in our story. We moved into a new, central office at 10 Queen’s Terrace, Aberdeen—and marked the occasion with an unforgettable opening night.
As the year draws to a close, we’re reflecting on how it all came together and celebrating the people who made it happen.
The Move: From Empty Shell to Thriving Hub in Just Over Four Weeks
On 31st July, we received the keys to our new office. By 2nd September, we had all moved over from our old office and were fully operational—thanks to the dedication and teamwork of our suppliers and staff. The transformation was nothing short of remarkable:
- Passells: Delivered exceptional branding that brought our vision to life.
- General and Technical Flooring Services: Worked tirelessly, laying superb carpets while seamlessly coordinating with movers.
- Commercial Moves: Went above and beyond to ensure every detail was handled smoothly.
- North Offshore: Brought precision and care to painting the space.
- Ronald Lovie and Alan Moir at JCI: Installed the door system and alarm with meticulous attention to detail.
- JAM Cabling: Got our internet up and running with efficiency.
- Simblox: Moved our server room overnight, minimising disruption.
- Dave Michie: Helped turn creative ideas into action.
- Adam Wilson from PCL Live: Managed all our media needs with expertise.
A special shoutout to Apollo’s Steve Leaper, Chiara Massone, and Erin Nicol, who led the charge from start to finish. Transforming an empty building into a fully functioning office in just over four weeks is no small feat—you smashed it!
The Opening: A Night to Remember
We celebrated the new office in style with our staff, clients, and suppliers. It was a fantastic evening, filled with good conversation, great food, and a touch of casino fun.
A big thank you to everyone who made the event so memorable:
-
- Myrtle Dawes, CEO of the Net Zero Technology Centre, for her inspiring keynote speech.
- Roy MacGregor, Chairman of GEG, for his thoughtful reflections on this milestone.
- Richard Bell, Apollo’s Managing Director, for his leadership and vision that guided us here.
- No 10s: For keeping the drinks flowing all night.
- Rosa’s: For serving delicious food that everyone loved.
- Team Challenge: For organising a lively casino evening that kept guests entertained.
- Michal Wachucik: For taking some great shots of the evening.
- Claire Bisset: For baking the stunning celebratory cake.
From the first reception drink to the last spin of the roulette wheel, it was an evening to remember and a fitting celebration of this exciting new chapter.
Looking Ahead to 2025
This move wasn’t just about a change of address—it’s a step forward into the next phase of Apollo’s journey.
